The industrial piercing, or scaffold piercing, is two ear piercings connected by a single barbell; the traditional placement goes through the upper ear rim, sitting straight across the top of the ear, however they can be placed at other angles in other parts of the ear (for example vertically through the conch). Barbells are the most popular kind of industrial jewellery, but you may choose to swap to two smaller barbells or even hoops!
